2024-25 Semester 1 Skip-a-Final Information
Final exams are quickly approaching. Detailed information regarding semester 1 Skip-A-Final procedures are included below. The 2024 Semester 1 Final Exam schedule is also included below for your reference..
Semester 1 criteria for participating in Skip-A-Final is as follows:

A student has five or fewer total days of absences (fewer than 25 total blocks) – AND –

A student has an “A” and 3 absences or less in the class for the semester – OR – a student has a “B” and 2 absences or less in the class for the semester.
Additional Skip-A-Final Information:
- All absences (except official school activities, bereavement, and religious holidays of a student's own faith) count as an absence.
- All end-of-semester study guides/projects must be completed, even if the student qualifies for Skip-A-Final.
- With teacher permission, qualifying students may choose to take a final exam as a means to raise (but not lower) their semester grade.
- Skip-A-Final forms will be available for pick up in the main office beginning Friday, December 6 at 3:00 PM.
- Skip-A-Final Forms must be signed by the student, parent and participating teacher prior to being submitted.
- All completed forms must be turned into the office by Friday, December 13 at 3:00 PM.
- If students are eligible to skip a G1, G2, G5, W1, W2 or W5 final, they are not expected to attend the final exam period. However, students must attend blocks G4 and W4 in their classrooms, even if they qualify for Skip-A-Final, in order to avoid students exiting and re-entering the building during the afternoons of final exams.
- Students arriving or leaving the building during final exams are expected to enter and exit through the attendance entrance.
- Students may skip a maximum of two semester 1 final exams.
