Mrs. Britt earned her Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University and her Master's degree from Emporia State University in School Counseling. She works with students whose last names begin with R-Z.

Joe Kordalski, Social Worker
Mr. Joe has been with the De Soto School district since 2007. Prior to that he worked with in the nonprofit sector of Social Welfare for 7 years. As the School Social Worker he provides support and direct services to a wide range of students at De Soto High School and The Bridge (18-21 Program). He believes that students need a supportive and inclusive school environment to succeed academically and socially. Mr. Joe welcomes all calls from parents and inquiries from student in discovering what he can do to support the student’s or family’s needs, goals and ambitions.
Mr. Joe serves in the following roles:
- McKinney – Vento Liaison for the district - In this role, he works to identify and assists families experiencing housing transitions and homelessness. I also work with the following building level and district supports;
- Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Team Member - The TBI team supports students and families across all grade levels who have experienced a TBI
- catPRIDE Sponsor - catPRIDE supports activities that encourage positive decision making and the avoidance of destructive decisions.
- HERO Club Sponsor – (Helping Educate Regarding Orientation) HERO Club supports creating an inclusive and welcoming school culture from an LGBTQ+ perspective
Mr. Joe received his Bachelors of Social Work from Kansas State University and his Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas.

Dianne Brown
2022-23 is Mrs. Brown’s first year in our nurse’s office, and her second in the district. She was inspired to become a nurse while caring for her medically complex child and due to receiving wonderful nursing care while battling cancer. She is passionate about care and advocacy for individuals with complex health needs. She has worked with children and adults with intellectual and developmental exceptionalities for the past seven years. She also has experience in home health and hospice for children and adults. As a nurse and mother of four, she truly enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities.
