Graduation Requirements
Diploma Requirements and College Admissions
To obtain a high school diploma from USD 232, students must earn credits in the following classes:
- 4.5 credits of English
- 0.5 credits must be Communications
- 4 credits of Math
- 3.5 credits of Social Science
- 3 credits of Science
- 2 credits of Technology Electives
- 1.5 credits of PE (1-Freshman PE, .5-Health)
- 1 credit of Fine Arts
- 5.5 credits of General Electives
Kansas College Admission Requirements
Graduates must meet the following requirements in order to gain admission to one of the six Kansas Board of Regents Institutions immediately following graudation (Emporia State University, Pittsburg State University, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University, University of Kansas, and Wichita State University).
- Achieve one of the following: Score a composite of 21 on the ACT; or an SAT score of 980 or above; or Graduate in the top 1/3 of your graduatioing class (7th or 8th semester)
- Earn at least a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in the Qualified Admissions Curriculum
- 4 credits of English
- 3 credits of Natural Science (one credit must be Chemistry or Physics)
- 3 credits of Math (with a 21 on the ACT math section) or 4 credits of Math without the math benchmark. (Applications of Math will not count.)
- 3 credits of Social Science
- 3 additional approved credits
- Achieve a 2.0 GPA or higher on any college credit taken in high school
